While the wood lathe spins a block of wood, you hold a tool that carves the wood. This technique enables you to make objects such as wooden pens, mallets, candlesticks, and spinning tops and bowls. You will learn Safety and Basic Operation for the wood lathe, drill press, and band saw. No experience necessary.
After you complete this class you can continue to develop your skill on the lathe by signing up for the You Can Build It or Maker Club workshops.A materials fee of $20 is included in class tuition. (6 person maximum. Suitable for ages 15 through adult. Ages 11 – 14 may enroll if a parent also enrolls) Instructors: Niles Wertz & Geo Monley

Class fee is $188.00 for 4 sessions of 3 hours each. A materials fee of $20 is included in class tuition.
